Stop Apologizing
Stop apologizing for having feelings.
Cry.
Be angry.
Fall apart.
Sit on the floor if you need to.
Feel all of it.
We have got to stop acting like holding it together is the goal.
It's not.
You lost someone.
Of course you're not okay.
Of course it hurts.
Of course, some days are unbearable.
This is not weakness.
This is grief.
And grief hurts.
Feeling is strength.
Letting yourself fall apart when you need to is strength.
Letting yourself be human is strength.
Grieving is allowed to be messy and loud and ugly and hard.
Feel it.
All of it.
