My Wish
My wish is simple.
I wish for one more day with you —
a day to sit together, to talk about everything and nothing.
A day where I could hear your laugh,
feel your hand in mine,
and soak in the kind of love only you could give.
I wish we could go back to the moments that made life feel light,
share stories,
tell jokes,
say the things we never got around to saying.
My wish is that we could have one more hug,
one more walk side by side,
one more slow, ordinary moment that I would never take for granted.
Until that day comes,
I’ll hold on to every memory,
every moment,
every piece of you that still lives in me.
If these words connected with you, you’ll find many more like them in What Remains. It’s a collection of the writings I’ve shared over the years, bringing together reflections on grief, love, loss, and the connections that continue long after someone is gone.
I hope it brings you comfort, understanding, and the reminder that you’re not alone.
