It's Okay to be Sad
It’s okay to be sad.
There are days you cry in the car.
Days you come home and sit on the couch and don’t move for two hours.
Days where grief follows you through the entire day and you cannot seem to shake it.
Those days are okay.
Not every hard day means something is wrong with you.
Not every painful moment has to turn into growth.
Grief can simply be sadness over someone you still love and still miss.
That’s it.
Some days are just hard.
Some days you feel disconnected from life.
Some days you are emotionally exhausted from trying to function while part of you is still grieving someone deeply.
And honestly, for what you’ve lost, that makes complete sense.
You do not have to force every sad day into becoming something meaningful.
You do not have to talk yourself out of your grief every time it shows up.
You do not have to turn every painful moment into proof that you are healing.
You can miss them and still be completely knocked down by the reality that they are gone.
You can cry more.
You can go quiet.
Sit in it as long as you need.
