Forever Without You
At first, “forever” doesn’t even seem possible.
You’re just trying to make it through the next hour.
Then the next day.
Then the next morning when you have to wake up and face the reality that they’re still gone.
Eventually, you realize that “forever” isn’t one moment.
It’s thousands of moments.
The conversation you wish you could have.
The milestone they should have been here for.
The photo that still stops you.
The days that feel manageable.
The days that don’t.
Some mornings, forever feels impossible.
Other days, you surprise yourself by getting through something you never thought you could.
Not because the loss hurts less.
But because you’ve made it through another day you once believed you couldn’t.
Maybe that’s all hope is.
Not believing everything will be okay.
Just believing that, somehow, you’ll find your way through today...
...and then tomorrow, when it comes.
